LaRose to the Occasion is a small, homerun chocolate and cake company based out of Coventry, RI. Our main focus is satisfying everyone's sweet tooth whether they know it or not. Our products feature the freshest ingredients in the peak of their season to ensure that every product has the ripest burst of flavors.
Our Origin
LaRose to the Occasion was created out of our owner, Sarah LaRose's, love for all things chocolate. From the ripe young age of eleven, Sarah was making small custom cakes for friends and family with the hope to one day open her own business. After attending Johnson & Wales University and receiving a bachelor's in the baking and pastry arts, she found she not only has a love for cakes, but for everything sweet (especially chocolates).
Our objective is to challenge the palette through playing with flavors with complex pairings. We strive to ensure that each flavor is unlike anything you have had before. We focus on taking great care in balancing each flavor so that it almost dances on the tongue. Every aspect of flavor, whether it be bitterness, sweet or salty, is taken into consideration to ensure that each bonbon is an evolving and unique experience.
Why We Are Gluten Free
Being gluten free is a commitment that our company has taken on in honor of our owner's mother. Her mother was diagnosed with celiac disease and has struggled to find gluten free products without a trace of gluten in them. For this reason, LaRose to the Occasion has committed itself to working completely gluten free and with no cross contamination possible. Our kitchen is 100% gluten free and every ingredient that comes through our doors is checked, then double checked to ensure they are also free of cross contamination.
